About me

Movement for ALL

I have a background in Social Work, having graduated from the University of Western Attica in Athens, Greece.

My path changed when I came across the Pilates method, following an injury. Before that, I had never really felt myself and my body, even though I had a very active lifestyle with a lot of swimming and running. Pilates, for me, was a revelation, something completely different. I felt very strong, energetic and in harmony with my body and feelings. I thus followed my heart and graduated from B.A.S.I. academy and the Kinesiology Center “E. Iliopoulou”, where I was exposed to the Romana Kryzanowska approach in Classical Pilates. I have a specialization in Clinical Pilates from the Orthopedic Musculoskeletal Training Center (OMT) and recently successfully completed the 'Injuries and Special Populations' course  (ICP) from Stott Pilates in Toronto, Canada.

I am a TRX certified instructor and I have a certificate in Wellness Coaching from the University of Athens (EKPA).

I like to inspire people to improve their health profile through movement and empowerment. My personal experience of growth, transformation, and empowerment has lead me to believe in creating a meaningful habit, a habit that can give oneself joy.

As a good friend of mine says ‘Thank God we are all different’….  This is where my work focuses on. The uniqueness of the individual.

As humans, we have different movement patterns, different ways of dealing with life and of course, different needs.

I teach Pilates as a body and mind method, based upon a sound scientific theory. Pilates is also about connection, about conscious movement, about enjoying exercise. My classes can be easy, as well as challenging, but always based on science based individual body needs and functions. We start easy and we built slowly, in Cefalonia island Greece.
